Every dynasty owner wants to find the next wide receiver yet to break out. The projection model points us in the right direction in terms of historical probability, but nailing the specific player or two is still a challenge with finite roster spots and a variety of price points.
Here are the best metric wide receivers with three NFL seasons or less under their belt and yet to breakout:
Ordered by listed Overall Projection Score
81 Davante Adams: Inefficient as a rookie? Who cares. Flashed in the playoffs, historic college production score, good size + athleticism
80 Jeff Janis: One of the best metric prospects ever coming from Day 3, the good news? Dirt cheap as trade throw in or late startup pick.
79 Marquess Wilson: Kevin White doused his buzz with ice water bucket.
73 Michael Floyd: He quasi-broke out in 2013, but with his pedigree and profile, owners expected the next great wide receiver for dynasty. Big step back in ’14, would be intriguing with post-rookie contract change of scenery at a minimum.
65 Donte Moncrief: Good rebound buying opportunity with Andre Johnson and Phillip Dorsett coming to Indy.
64 Corey Washington: Super sleeper with uncertainty on Giants receiver depth chart beyond Odell Beckham.
61 Quinton Patton: Middling athlete but productive college profile. Worth a stash if going deep into free agent pool.
61 Marqise Lee: Not holding out much hope with questionable physical profile and stacked passing game depth chart in Jacksonville.
60 Stedman Bailey: Low-ceiling, but dependable option that could have more upside than shown to-date in NFL.
