Social Media has so much information and so many good Twitter questions are being put out there and then the advice is missed and lost forever in the Twittersphere. The goal of this weekly column will be to point out key Tweets each week with our UTH staff have answered so you can dive into everyday strategy questions the UTH Staff sees on Twitter.

Happy 21st birthday Todd Gurley. A great article recently written by Chad Parsons (@ChadParsonsNFL) about the career arc of players and where peaks and valleys lie (NFL Dynasty Age Decline Unlocked) based on age. Building on this article is where the true philosophy of the UTH Dynasty Builder lies. We are not saying “any player over 26 must be traded immediately!” We are trying to advocate for active ownership, continually assessing your roster, and being willing to work harder and go deeper than every other team in your league. Get to these players when they are entering the up-slope of the age bell curve and start selling when they are going down the other side.

Every roster spot is important. Don’t be afraid to package multiple pieces for a player you like or future draft pick. #dynastytrades

This is a move I have found myself doing more often. A recent trade I made traded Mark Ingram and Michael Crabtree for Allen Robinson and a 2016 second round pick (projected middle of the round). Not only was I getting a player I absolutely love, I was also freeing up a roster spot for other players I have on my watch list. Always look to get your guys, but also try to have at least one roster spot you are comfortable turning over into other players until you get someone in the spot who sticks.

Just moved some guys to the IR slot so I could pick up a few more… are you paying attention to your teams?

A strategy I have done previously and recently heard mentioned on the UTH podcast was demoting your best players eligible for the taxi squad and leave players on your active roster who are question marks on your active roster. This way you are not wasting your Taxi Squad spots on players you are turning over on your roster.
An example of this is in a long-term dynasty league I am in and you have infinite Taxi Squad spots and you can keep a player on the Taxi Squad for 4 years. If you call them up you cannot send them back. So last year I accumulated Sammy Watkins, Allen Robinson, Cody Latimer, and Travis Kelce on my Taxi Squad. On my active roster I was able to turnover roster spots and picked up C.J. Anderson, John Brown, and Isaiah Crowell off of the waiver wire. If I would not have been stashing talent on my Taxi Squad I would have never had the room on my roster to make these moves.
