Trading Post

One of my strongest dynasty teams resides in the Ryan McDowell-run HyperActive dynasty leagues, an orphan I took over two years ago. This trade has been a long time coming. I drafted John Brown at 4.10 of the 2014 rookie draft, an afterthought by the league, despite his strong metrics and 91 overall NFL Draft position. Like Jerick McKinnon, John Brown was one of the ignored prospects in early rookie drafts that season. Sigmund Bloom of Footballguys.com has been a vocal supporter of John Brown and this was not the first proposal for Brown in this league from the long-time fantasy player and analyst. Despite a locked-in profit from the Round 4 rookie pick purchase price a year ago, I was holding out for an offer to mitigate some of the risk if Brown does break out this season. Situationally, I am skeptical of the Cardinals passing game producing a singular dominant receiver in 2015 with Michael Floyd, John Brown, and Larry Fitzgerald jockeying for position, but a significant rebound from the 2014 Carson Palmer-less Arizona offense is possible.
